Curriculum Vitae

Matthias Wählisch studied computer science and contemporary German literature at Freie Universität Berlin, where he completed his Master's thesis on structured hybrid multicast routing. He continues his research at the Computer Systems & Telematics group there, and is also with the INET research team at HAW Hamburg. He started professional activities at the networking group of the computer centre of FHTW Berlin while at high school. Matthias is the cofounder of link-lab, a start-up company in the field of next generation networking. His major fields of interest lie in efficient and reliable Internet communication. This includes the design and evaluation of networking protocols, mobile communication and P2P networks, as well as Internet topology measurement and analysis. He looks back on ten years of professional experience in project work and publication. Matthias has been on the TPC of several international conferences and workshops.
