Phase 1 - Abstract Submission - Explanation

Field(s)

What to fill in

Contact Person: The Contact Person is the person who will be sent the result of the reviewing process and the comments of the reviewers. Therefore, please accurately state the complete address information (how it should appear on an envelope), phone and fax number, in case it should be necessary to contact you, and email address. The email address is very important, because it is used to send you the password for the second phase. It needs to be typed twice. As long as they differ, the submission cannot be accepted.
Title of paper: The title of the paper that you submit.
Author list: The family names of all authors of the paper, separated by commas.
Video: Check this box if you intend to accompany your paper by a video or multimedia presentation, that is submitted to the video and multimedia track of the conference. You can specify details in the Remarks field. This box is for information purposes only; you are free to submit a video or multimedia presentation at a later time, regardless of whether you have indicated this here.
Abstract: The abstract of about 10 to 20 lines will be used for the selection of the reviewers of your paper. Please formulate the abstract carefully, in order to help the proper assignment of your paper to PC members and reviewers.
Main Topics: Specify the main subject category or categories pertaining to your paper. You can select more than one item, but restrict yourself to the topics that are most relevant to your paper. Like the abstract, the main topics will help to put your paper into the right context and to let it be reviewed by the most appropriate members of the Programme Committee.
Remarks: Use this field if you have any remarks or comments.

After clicking the 'Submit data for phase 1' button your data is checked for consistency. If not all required data is there, the missing parts will be pointed out. In that case, return to your submission form, fill in the missing parts and re-submit.

If (we think) all we need is there, the data is saved. A table will be displayed with the data as we have received it. Further, the Contact Person will receive a confirmation of the submission by email. This email will contain a login/password combination which you will need in order to upload your paper in phase 2!

Clicking 'Clear all fields' will -as can be expected- empty all fields.

In case of problems with the electronic submission, please contact the system's manager, Mainty Maintainer, at rote@inf.fu-berlin.de.
