About Me

I am a Postdoc in Günter Ziegler's Discrete Geometry Group at FU Berlin. Before that, I was a postdoc in the Geometry-Topology Group at Temple University, working with Igor Rivin. You can find all the gory details in my CV.

I like to work on problems that are a blend of geometry and combinatorics, often in with algorithmic directions. Some things I've worked on in the past are:

• The generic rigidity theory of bar-slider frameworks.
• Pebble game algorithms for rigidity analysis and generalizations to decomposition certificates for $(k,\ell)$-sparse graphs, $(k,\ell)$-sparse hypergraphs, and $(k,\ell)$-graded-sparsity matroids.
• The linear representability of $(k,\ell)$-graded-sparsity matroids.

Lately, I've been thinking about:

• The generic rigidity theory of infinite planar frameworks with periodic and crystallographic symmetry.
• Enumerating and verifying hypothetical zeolites.
• Curves on surfaces that intersect each other few times.
• Percolation phenomena for rigidity, arboricity, and related concepts.
