I am a professor (W1-Juniorprofessor) at Freie Universität Berlin.
Before that I was a Miller Research Fellow at UC Berkeley.
Before that I graduated from Technische Universität Berlin.

I am on the faculty of the Berlin Mathematical School and part of the Junior faculty of the research
training group Methods for Discrete Structures.

My research interests are mainly in the areas of discrete and convex (algebraic) geometry but
I am also interested (and worked) in topological combinatorics and combinatorial commutative algebra.
Here is my CV.

Together with Fernando de Oliveira Filho and Günter Ziegler I am organizing the Discrete Geometry Seminar.
If you think have something interesting to say, let me know.

Together with Matthias Beck I writing a book on Combinatorial Reciprocity Theorems. Check it out!

Together with Günter Ziegler and Günter Rote, I am organzing the workshop High-Complexity Discrete Geometry.
It takes place October 24-27, 2011 here in Berlin.
