Domain Coloring
I am a graduate student of mathematics and computer science at Freie Universität Berlin, where I started my studies in computer science in fall 2005. As part of the required courses for prospective computer scientists, I attended a course in discrete mathematics that enthused me about academic mathematics. So I decided to study mathematics for my second university degree.
I am very interested in (complex and differential) geometry and function theory, as well as probability theory and stochastic analysis. On the right you see a color plot of the meromorphic function f(z)=(z+1)^2/(z-1)*(z-i)^2/(z+1). It was generated by using a technique called Domain Coloring.
