* Corporate Semantic Web is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the BMBF Innovation Initiative
for the New German Länder - Entrepreneurial Regions. It will provide a concerted framework which aims to
establish economically beneficial adoption of Semantic Web technologies in corporate environments.
The overall goal of the project is to find solutions for realizing the Corporate Semantic Web as a whole. Research focuses on three main topics:
Corporate Semantic Search
Corporate Semantic Collaboration
Corporate Ontology Engineering
ONTOCOM is a project in which we address
methods and tools for estimating the costs involved in ontology engineering processes. We developed a
cost model which uses empirically quantified cost drivers in a parametric formula in order to estimate the
person months efforts invested in building, reusing or maintaining ontologies.
* InnoWeb 3.0 - Phase I: Screening, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF); 2nd turn of the program ForMaT (Forschung für den Markt im Team)
MOMA Framework(Metadata-based Ontology MAtching Framework ) allows allow both manual (AHP-based) and automated (rule-based) detection of suitable matching approaches for the processing of a pre-defined ontological input (MOMA Framework was the main part of my PhD thesis).
KnowledgeWeb
was a FP6 Network of Excellence that aimed to support the transition of ontology technology from academia to industry.
Reisewissen
developed a data integration infrastructure for the travel domain based on ontologies and Semantic Web technologies
; it developed a rating-engine, which supported customers in finding an optimal offer for their needs;
this project was funded by the Investitionsbank Berlin
(IBB) and European Regional Development Fund
(ERDF).
