The easiest and fastest way is to take a train to the main station in Berlin or even closer Berlin, Südkreuz, if you get a connection. Tickets can be bought at any train station or online at the website of the Deutsche Bahn.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN BERLIN

Tickets for the Berlin Public Transportation Tickets can be bought in Berlin at any station, but not online.
Berlin is divided into 3 regions: A,B and C. A is the center of Berlin, B the extended main region and C the outer parts, which you probably do not need during your visit.
A single ride in regions A and B costs 2.30 &euro. There also exist day-tickets, 4-Ride-Tickets and a one week-pass. More information can be found at the website of the berlin public transportation service (BVG).
Maps of the public transportation can be obtained at the vending shops of the BVG, e.g. at the main station for free. A map of the subway system can be found here

- FOREIGN TRAVELLERS PLEASE NOTE ! -

The public transportation vending machines do NOT accept Credit Cards like VISA, Mastercard, American Express, etc. German Debit Cards and cash are fine as long as you do not use bank notes larger then 20 €. It is always advisable to carry a few Euro in coins with you.
