About me

I was born in Mallorca in 1987. In 2005, I started Computer Science at UPC in Barcelona. Two years later, I started Mathematics and joined CFIS. I finished both degrees in 2011.

In 2014, I got a PhD from the Berlin Mathematical School, working in the Theoretical Computer Science Work Group of FU Berlin under the supervision of professor Günter Rote. This is my formal short CV.

Research and thesis

I am interested in computational and discrete geometry. In particular, I study spatial tesselations, regular subdivisions, illumination (/covering) problems, Voronoi-type diagrams and related topics. Previously, I did my Bachelor of Engineering thesis in machine learning applied to visual recognition.

During my thesis, I worked on recursively regular subdivisions. If you want to know what they are, you can check this slides. More about recursively regular subdivisions and Partial-Matching Voronoi Diagrams (mainly for least-squares and bottleneck distances) can be found in my PhD thesis (download pdf).
